City of Vienna International Offices – Krakow

A cooperation agreement between Vienna and Krakow has been in place since 2000 and was last renewed in 2025. The exchange covers a wide range of topics – from municipal services and crisis management to social housing, gender equality, and civic participation, as well as the greening and design of urban spaces. Krakow also draws inspiration from Vienna in areas such as sustainable mobility, with a focus on subway construction, the decarbonization of energy supply, energy efficiency, and climate change adaptation.
